ABOUT

With over 30 years of experience, Sandy Ogg has collaborated with successful CEOs around the globe, observing and implementing strategies that drive value for all stakeholders.

As the founder of  CEO.works, he has taken these insights and created tools to help CEOs worldwide connect talent to value and guide organizations toward excellence in today’s dynamic business environment.

From 2011 to 2016, Sandy served as an operating partner in private equity at the Blackstone Group, advising nearly 100 portfolio companies. Before Blackstone, he transformed Unilever’s operating framework and leadership system as its Chief Human Resources Officer. His career also includes significant roles at Motorola, Dove Associates, The VIA Consulting Group (which he founded), and The Center for Leadership Studies.

Sandy currently chairs the boards of Nord Anglia Education and Prometric and is a Board Director at CoolSys. He has also contributed to the SVP funds Advisory Council, focusing on management recruiting and leadership.

Sandy began his career in the U.S. Coast Guard, performing sea rescues as a line officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a master’s in human development from George Washington University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. His board memberships have included INSEAD, The Rotterdam School of Management, The European Academy for Business in Society (as Vice Chairman), and BBH Advertising in London. In 2015, he was inducted as a Fellow by the National Academy of Human Resources.

Sandy’s entrepreneurial spirit extends to youth sports, where he has launched initiatives such as Baseballworks,  Diamond Sports FoundationDiamond AllegianceCurve Test Centers, and Curve Sports Academies.
